West Island College is a registered charity with Benevity. Their social mission is to help improve the way not-for-profits like WIC access and become eligible for corporate giving programs. Check to see if your company has an Employee Matching Program through Benevity.  If so, you make a donation and request the matching gift from your employer, who then makes their own donation to WIC. Companies often match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Benevity deducts a cause support fee and WIC receives the net amount of your donation.

WIC now accepts e-transfers directly from your bank account.

One-Time or Multi-Payment Gift. Please make cheque(s) payable to West Island College Society of Alberta and indicate parent and student name in the memo. You can either mail your cheques or drop them off at the WIC Business Office, 7410 Blackfoot Trail SE.

Many corporations will match a tax-deductible gift made by their employees. Visit your company website or consult with your Human Resources representative to see if your company will match your donation to WIC.

Donating publicly traded stocks and securities provides a tax receipt for the appreciated value of the donation.

Making a gift through your will, such as a bequest or life insurance, allows you to leave a legacy for future generations of students.

Donor choice or “Donor Designation” is a service United Way offers to allow you to direct your gift to any registered charity in Canada. You can choose to give to your company’s United Way campaign and designate your gift to West Island College Society of Alberta (WIC). Our CRA registration number is 105645212 RR 0001. A $16 processing fee will be charged by United Way for this service.  WIC will receive the net amount of your donation.
