Senior High French Immersion
Language, Culture and Community
The WIC Experience
The senior high French Immersion program at WIC offers the opportunity for students to refine their French language skills while engaging deeply with the broader school community. Our program balances immersion in the French language with integration into our vibrant school community, making it ideal for students who have completed junior high French Immersion.
Unmatched Bilingual Advantage
Preparing Students for Post-Secondary Success
In our senior high French Immersion program, students take French Language Arts and études sociales, while mathematics and the sciences are instructed in English. This balanced structure allows students to strengthen their bilingual proficiency while staying connected to the French Immersion community and engaging with the broader WIC student body.
By studying subjects in both languages, students develop critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills that prepare them for success in post-secondary education, particularly in bilingual or international programs.
Continuing with French Immersion through junior and senior high came with its challenges, but as I prepare to graduate with my WIC Bilingual Diploma, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. It’s an achievement I value deeply and one I know will create future opportunities.Student
