Junior High French Immersion
Preparing for a Bilingual Future
For students in Grades 7 - 9, the junior high French Immersion program at WIC is designed for those who have completed French Immersion in elementary school. It builds on this foundation, ensuring continued language development, and preparing students for a WIC Bilingual High School Diploma.
Program Highlights
In Junior High, students take four core courses in French:
- French Language Arts;
- Études Sociales;
- Mathématiques; and
- Science.
French Immersion students take option classes with English program students, which promotes a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
This comprehensive approach allows students to continue developing their French language proficiency while deepening their understanding of essential academic subjects.
70%
of junior high instruction is conducted in French. Our program provides a truly immersive experience.
