Greenhouse
Built in 2022, our 40-foot by 65-foot greenhouse is a hub of innovation and growth. Under the expert care of our Greenhouse Manager, the space has become a flourishing ecosystem, producing over 2,000 pounds of food, with nearly 500 pounds donated to the Calgary Food Bank during it's first summer growing season.
Student involvement through clubs, classes, and personal time has been instrumental in this success. As the heart of GreenLab programming, the greenhouse offers hands-on interdisciplinary learning opportunities that connect agriculture, science, sustainability and creativity. With plans to maximize the space and launch a harvest box program, our greenhouse continues to thrive as a vibrant part of our community.
In 2024, the Greenhouse became the vibrant setting for our first annual Mother's Day and Holiday Markets, showcasing the space. These events were a resounding success, and we look forward to continuing these cherished annual traditions.
