Physical Education
Building Healthy Habits for Life
Our physical education (Phys. Ed.) program helps students develop essential life skills, such as managing personal health, using physical activity to handle life challenges, practicing teamwork in a supportive environment, and fostering a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.
In alignment with Alberta Education guidelines, our program ensures that all students have an equal opportunity to experience the benefits of participating in physical activity.
Teaching Phys. Ed. at WIC means opening students’ eyes to the many ways they can stay active. From guided workouts in our fitness facility to developing proper techniques from a Canadian certified Olympic Lifting coach to discovering the fun of bowling, students learn that staying active is as varied as it is rewarding. It’s all about finding healthy habits that build skills they can carry with them for life.
