Welcome to Senior High at WIC
Whether you're new to WIC or continuing with us into Senior High, Grades 10 to 12 offer students greater independence, more course choice, and deeper academic exploration.
Students are challenged academically and supported as they grow into confident, independent thinkers. Through a wide range of core subjects, electives, Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses, and experiential learning, they develop the skills, purpose and leadership to thrive in post-secondary and beyond.
At this stage, academic planning becomes key. Students work closely with advisors to ensure they meet graduation requirements, pursue their chosen Institute Program certificate, and prepare for their post-secondary goals.

At WIC, we believe that the best way to prepare for the future is by excelling in the present. That’s why we provide a rich, challenging, and relevant curriculum for all senior high students. With our semestered system, students can focus on fewer courses each term, optimizing learning and engagement.
We also offer Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credit courses that provide exposure to university-level work, making the transition to higher education smoother.

Senior High is where students come into their own. You see them step up, take on leadership, push themselves academically, and start to figure out who they are. What I love most is that WIC gives them the space and support to do that with confidence. We’re not just helping them get into university—we’re helping them discover who they want to be in the world.

The Bilingual Advantage
Senior High French Immersion
Our French Immersion students continue their bilingual education while preparing for the WIC Bilingual Diploma and the DELF, allowing them to gain advanced proficiency in French. This offers them a significant advantage when pursuing post-secondary studies in Canada or abroad.
Staying at WIC for senior high was definitely the right choice for me. The community here is so supportive, and I love being part of the athletics program and having options like computer science to explore. The new field is a huge bonus too! Plus, with smaller class sizes, it’s easy to get help from teachers when I’m stuck, which has really helped me improve in my courses.

Being in Grade 10 at WIC has been amazing for exploring my passions. Focusing on band in class and through clubs like the jazz band, while also working behind the scenes on the drama production, has helped me realize how much I want to be part of the local arts community. I even got to speak with an alumna about her art career, which gave me great ideas for turning my passion into a future career. Plus, our Academic & Career Advisor is working with me to develop a plan to make it happen.

As a parent, I’m truly grateful for the incredible support and innovative teaching my child has received at WIC. They were always told they were bad at math, but the collaborative approach here has completely changed that.
