Celebrating Impact: Annual Fund Donor Reception 

The Meaningful Impact of Donor Support at WIC

Last week, WIC welcomed donors from the 2024/25 Annual Fund Campaign who gave to support the Head of School Fund and Innovation Alley. The Donor Appreciation Reception brought members of our community together to celebrate the generosity that fuels innovation, strengthens learning experiences, and expands opportunities for students across campus. 

Celebrating Community Generosity

The evening began with welcome remarks by the Chair of our Advancement Committee, Mark Boulay, and then a tour led by our Head of School and CEO, Mrs. Corbett, who shared firsthand how donor support shapes the learning environment at WIC. From program enhancements to creative resources, guests were able to see the meaningful and immediate impact of their gifts in action. 

Seeing Impact in Action 

A highlight of the evening was a hands-on look at the new headsets now used in WIC’s drama and performing arts programming, sourced through the Head of School Fund. Thank you to Ms. Babott for attending the event and showcasing the equipment, explaining to our donors how these tools are elevating student audio, performance quality, and technical skill development. 

To bring this work to life, two cast members from our Fall Drama Production, Disney's: The Descendants, shared a performance of the song Space Between, using the new headsets. A sincere thank you Lucy G. and Nevin M. for staying after school to participate and show the impact of these enhancements in real time.

Innovation at the Heart of Learning 

Innovation was also on display in Innovation Alley, where Mr. Parkinson shared exciting updates made possible through donor support. Guests explored new tools, emerging technology, and creative additions that continue to inspire student curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on learning. 

Events like this reflect the true power of community generosity. Both the Head of School Fund and Innovation Alley directly support student growth, encourage innovative thinking, and create space for young people to discover their passions.
