What a season for WIC Volleyball!

Across every grade, our Wolves brought heart, hustle, and incredible teamwork to the court. With tournament medals, league successes, and countless moments of growth, each team has a story worth celebrating. Enjoy this recap of a season filled with perseverance and pride.

Grade 7 Girls

The Grade 7 Girls’ Volleyball team faced their fair share of challenges this season, and through positivity, teamwork, and determination, they proved what perseverance can achieve. 

After a strong start to the season, they used practice time to their advantage to prepare for playoffs. Despite a tough loss in their first playoff match, they rallied together for the bronze medal game, giving it everything they had. 

In two hard-fought, nail-biter sets, the team battled back from behind to secure bronze for the season. 

We are so proud of their hard work and resilience, which were truly inspiring! 

Grade 7 Boys

Hard work, determination, and growth were staples of the Grade 7 Boys’ incredible season. From the first serve to the final match, they played with passion and teamwork, earning impressive wins along the way.  

The playoffs brought their share of challenges and close games, and the boys never backed down—battling hard and showing true resilience. Beyond the scores, their biggest success was how much they developed as players and as a team. It was a season to be proud of and one that will be remembered. 

Grade 8 Girls 

What a memorable season it was for the Grade 8 Girls’ Volleyball team! The players dedicated themselves to improvement and focused on supporting one another every step of the way. 

Their commitment and teamwork paid off—earning second place at the BCS Tournament in October, finishing the regular season with an impressive 9-1 record, and capturing bronze in the playoffs. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic season! 

Grade 8 Boys

The Grade 8 Boys’ Volleyball team kicked off their season with an incredible start, winning gold at the opening tournament at Bearspaw—a victory that set the tone for the whole season. With only two losses during league play, the team carried their momentum and strong chemistry all season long. 

They capped off their impressive run with a bronze medal at the year-end tournament, finishing the season with pride, teamwork, and well-earned medals. Congratulations on a fantastic season, boys! 

Grade 9 Girls

The Grade 9 Girls’ Volleyball team wrapped up an outstanding season defined by dedication, teamwork, and consistent growth. Their hard work in every practice and match truly paid off—earning gold at their only tournament of the year and finishing as one of the top five teams in the city. 

Congratulations to all the players on an exceptional season and a performance to be proud of! 

Grade 9 Boys

This season, the Grade 9 Boys’ Volleyball team truly came together as a group—supporting one another both on and off the court. It was a competitive yet fun season where the players learned so much under the guidance of Coach Sabian and assistant coaches Lauren and Jordan. Many of the players are already looking forward to taking their skills to the next level in high school volleyball! 

JV Girls

The JV Girls’ Volleyball team brought energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm to every game this season. Their hard work and commitment paid off as they played with focus, skill, and heart—earning a well-deserved silver medal in league play. Beyond their success on the court, each player contributed her own unique spirit and personality, creating a supportive environment where everyone grew and improved together. 

Senior Girls

All season long, the Senior Girls’ Volleyball team continued to improve, build chemistry, and compete with heart. Their hard work paid off as they won 10 of their 12 league matches and capped off the season with an impressive 2nd-place finish at Zones. The team should be proud of a season defined by growth, dedication, and a strong commitment to one another. 

Senior Boys

The Senior Boys’ Volleyball team enjoyed a spirited and memorable season filled with growth, persistence, and genuine teamwork. They earned several well-deserved wins and proudly secured 2nd place in their league. 

Facing tough competition at Zones, the team rose to the challenge—showing impressive improvement in both skill and mindset as the season progressed. Their positive energy, sense of humour, and constant support for one another made them a close-knit and motivated group. 

Congratulations to the team on an outstanding season they can truly be proud of!
