Starting with Drama, Band and Art in Grade 7, students progress through junior high with additional opportunities to explore subjects that ignite their curiosity. These options empower students to develop new skills, pursue personal passions and shape their educational journey with hands-on learning experiences.
French Immersion students take option classes with English program students, which promotes a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

Every Grade 7 student experiences the world of Fine Arts through a full year of Band and a semester of Art and Drama.
This early introduction offers valuable tools that support students’ learning across all areas of their lives. Whether they continue with these subjects or branch out, the foundation they gain in visual arts, performing arts and band encourages self-confidence, creativity and a deeper appreciation for diverse forms of expression.

Second Language Learning
At WIC, every junior high student embarks on a journey in French or Spanish as second languages, developing key language skills while exploring diverse cultures.
