Athletic Spaces
WIC features state-of-the-art athletic facilities, including two gyms, a full-sized athletic field and a fitness training area. Many of these spaces were built with the generous support of our community, reflecting the collective commitment to providing top-notch spaces for our students. These facilities offer a safe and inspiring environment to train, compete and excel.
Sportsmanship
Sportsmanship is a core value of our athletic program. Our Wolves are taught to compete with integrity, respect their opponents and support their teammates.
While winning is celebrated, the focus is also on playing together and having fun, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. This commitment to sportsmanship ensures that our athletes carry these values beyond the field and into their everyday lives.
Our Coaches
Each coach is dedicated to nurturing talent through their wealth of experience and passion for the game. They serve as mentors, guiding students not only in the technical aspects but also in personal development and growing a love for sport. Our coaches are integral to the success and positive experience of our student-athletes.
One of the most positive aspects of my first couple months at WIC was my experience with the coaches on the JV Girls' Volleyball team. Throughout the season, coaches Mr. Gibson and Mr. Salmon provided positive encouragement on and off the court. In past seasons, both in school and club, I consistently played as an outside hitter without the opportunity to expand my abilities. However, with JV Girls, I was provided the opportunity to practice as a setter, a position I was determined to excel at. During practices, both coaches assisted me in attaining personal objectives related to technique, attitude and positioning abilities. With the support of my coaches and teammates, I have developed the setter position as my primary role on my club team, empowering me to pursue my athletic ambitions. The positive environment and valuable lessons established throughout the season has not only refined my volleyball skills, but also helped me develop my sense of belonging at WIC. Neva
