Our cocktail party includes hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, and live music – featuring Two Late to the Party with WIC’s own Alessandra Enns and dance band One Nite Band.

Prestigious Alumni Awards

WIC
WIC will kick-off its Anniversary Weekend on Friday morning by welcoming its newest Prestigious Alumni Awards recipients. Each year, four WIC Alumni are selected and honoured in one of the following categories: Philanthropy, Business, Personal Achievement, and The Arts. Each award recipient will address the student body to share their experiences and the impact that WIC has had in their lives.
Following the assembly, WIC will host a special luncheon for the recipients and guests and a Prefect-led tour of the school for the honourees.

The Friday morning celebrations will be followed by an evening Cocktail Party, hosted by the Alumni Committee. This evening event will be held at Hotel Arts where family, friends, and former classmates of the honourees will gather to learn and celebrate their accomplishments.
20-Year Reunion Celebrations

On Saturday afternoon, WIC and the Alumni Committee will host the classes of 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2002 to celebrate their 20-year milestone of life “après WIC." This event will be held at WIC where alumni can reunite on their old stomping grounds to reminisce and tour the WIC of today.

Over 2,000 alumni have walked our halls and we are incredibly proud of these learners, leaders, and world changers.
This year, as we celebrate WIC’s 40th Anniversary, we will feature alumni who work, live, and thrive in our global community. Watch our videos and find out how WIC has left an indelible mark on their lives and what advice they would give to students today.
Preserving our History
WIC opened its doors in 1982 in its Riverbend Atrium location with 39 students in Gr. 7 and 8. Over the last 40 years, the College has grown to over 600 students in Gr. 7 through 12 at its current Blackfoot Trail campus.
Our rich history needs to be preserved through an archive. This year, we will dust off the items in our vault and expand our collection of WIC memories and memorabilia.
